“Closetopia” is a dark comedy about an Iranian couple living in an exaggerated dystopian version of an imaginary Canada. The couple struggles with forming social connections. To solve this issue, they purchase another Iranian couple as “friends” from a friend-breeding company. These friends live in a closet in the corner of their room. Over time, this friendly relationship undergoes significant changes.

The play highlights the destruction of human values due to extreme consumerism in today’s society.
